Sour Lake is Hardin County’s oldest town — an 1835 settlement that boomed when oil hit in 1902 and Texaco was born here. Today it’s a quiet community at 105 and 326 where a lot of properties are the kind we like working on: homes with real yards, shops out back, and long driveways that started life as gravel.
