Trip hazards gone
Old heaved or crumbling sections torn out and hauled off the same day.
High-quality sidewalk services in Beaumont and across Southeast Texas — replacement, extension, or brand new walkways poured straight, finished smooth, and built to stay safe underfoot.
Cracked, heaving sidewalks are a trip hazard and an eyesore. We tear out the old sections, fix the base underneath, and pour a clean walkway that drains right.
Old heaved or crumbling sections torn out and hauled off the same day.
We correct the soil and base problems that broke the old sidewalk before pouring the new one.
Sloped and jointed correctly so water runs off instead of pooling and undermining.
Uniform width, straight lines, and a consistent broom finish end to end.
Replace one bad panel or the whole walkway — we price both straight.
Most sidewalk jobs wrap in 1–2 days, weather permitting.
A sidewalk doesn’t carry much weight, but it fails here anyway — because the Beaumont clay under Southeast Texas doesn’t care what’s on top of it. The soil swells with our ~60 inches of annual rain and shrinks hard in a dry summer, and thin, unreinforced walkways telegraph every bit of that movement: raised edges at the joints, tilted panels, trip hazards right where your family and guests walk.
Tree roots make it worse. The mature oaks and pecans that make older SETX neighborhoods worth living in are the same trees that lift 50-year-old walks an inch at a time. We route new walkways with the roots in mind, cut joints where movement wants to happen, and pour reinforced panels thick enough to bridge minor soil movement instead of snapping over it.
A lot of our sidewalk work is replacement on homes from the 1960s and 70s, where the original builder’s walk has simply aged out. New front walks, garden paths, and connections to driveways and patios are quick pours that change how a property looks and walks — and they matter for anyone in the household who doesn’t step over trip hazards as easily as they used to.
Length, width, and thickness set the base price — a straight front walk versus a wandering garden path with curves and steps. Tear-out of the old walk and haul-off is included in our number when there’s existing concrete coming out.
Access and routing matter more on walkways than people expect: working around established trees, beds, sprinkler lines, and tight side yards takes more form and finish care than an open pour. We look at all of it during the free estimate and give you one written price.
If a panel or two moved, grinding or replacing individual panels can be honest fixes. When most joints are moving, the walk is telling you its base is gone — replacement with a compacted base and steel stops the trip-hazard cycle instead of chasing it panel by panel. We’ll tell you plainly which situation you have.
Yes — most 1960s builder walks are a narrow squeeze. Widening to a comfortable two-person width is a common upgrade when we replace, and it barely moves the price compared to mobilizing twice.
We route around significant roots where we can, and where we can’t, we use joint placement and reinforcement so future movement shows up as a controlled joint line, not a broken panel. Killing a mature shade tree to save a sidewalk is a bad trade — we design around them.
Most residential walkway jobs are a one-day tear-out and pour, then a short cure before foot traffic. It’s one of the quickest, highest-visibility improvements we do.
