Lumberton is the growth story of Southeast Texas — up more than 60% since 2000, with new construction still working down Highway 69 North and FM 1003 in subdivisions like Copper Point and The Woods. That growth means two kinds of concrete work: new pours for new homes (driveways, extra parking, patios the builder didn’t include) and upgrades as the town’s earlier waves of housing hit the age where original flatwork gives out.
The ground is friendlier here than on the coastal prairie — higher, piney Big Thicket terrain — but Harvey proved Lumberton isn’t exempt: homes well outside mapped flood zones took serious water in 2017. We build with the same discipline here as everywhere: compacted base, steel in the pour, and grades that drain, because East Texas clay still moves and 60-inch rain years still happen.
